The Quiet Place is the first major collaboration of three companies and many
other filmmakers of the Tampa Bay area. ICON joined forces with
The Guzzo Brothers of One Day Films and Joe Davison of Pop Gun
Pictures, also filmmakers The Kincannon Brothers, Craig Kovach,
Melissa Webb, Marcus Koch, Robert W. Sterrett, and many others.
The short horror film is a chilling tale of a married couple (Davison
and Oswald) that locates their runaway daughter at a shelter.
But, when they arrive and placed in a waiting room with other
parents, something strange occurs. Impatient from waiting, one
of the fathers (Amos) walks out of the waiting room and discovers
that everything has changed inside the building and the parents
have enter another world. The parents try to find their way out
and find their children, but as they being their journey down
the dark hallway, the horror awaits them in this quiet place.
Special thanks to Sean Michael Davis for loaning us his film equipment.
Also special thanks to Blake and James Emory for letting us film
on location at the Oliva Cigar Factory. A very special thanks
to Michael Gonzalez for letting us use The Cuban Club in Ybor
City to shoot our final scenes and The Guzzo Brothers for shooting
at their office as well. Thanks to Susan Newsome and Starbucks
Coffee Company. And thanks to all the cast and crew who did an
awesome job and worked long hours. We hope to have the film complete
by January 2007. Keep it here for more updates on The Quiet Place.
